Adolescent Health

The clinic has independent medical practitioners who work with teenagers to negotiate a range of health issues including safer sex, the use of alcohol and illicit drugs, plus body image concerns which can lead to crash dieting, eating disorders and obesity.

Aviation Medical

Dr Ayman Aouad is designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME) who is registered with Casa to perform Aviation Medical Examinations. To organise an appointment for an Aviation Medical please call 9408 8800 and ask to speak with Regina (nurse) who co-ordinates these appointments.  If she is not available, the staff will leave a message for her to return your call.

Cervical Screening

The National Cervical Screening Program reduces illness and death from cervical cancer. Women and people with a cervix aged 25 to 74 years of age are invited to have a Cervical Screening Test every 5 years through their healthcare provider.  NorthEnd Medical has several independent medical practitioners who are Women’s Health specialists who can provide cervical screening. Children’s Health

The Independent Medical Practitioners and nurses at NorthEnd Medical are experienced with administering childhood immunisations and provide care for children from birth onwards and understand the challenges of parenthood. Your doctor can support you with newborn checks and childhood immunisations. A healthy kids check aims to gather health information, identify health problems and promote healthy lifestyles around the time of the 4 years of age vaccinations. This is a great opportunity to discuss any issues or concerns with your medical practitioner.

Immunisations Vaccinations, Childhood Vaccines, Flu Vaccines

The independent medical practitioners and nurses who work at NorthEnd Medical offer immunisations to children, adults and travellers. Immunisation is a most effective way to protect yourself and the community against potentially life-threatening infectious diseases. Your medical practitioner and the nursing team are available to support parents. Immunisation information is uploaded to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR).

Iron Infusions

We have a general practitioner and a general physician who both administer iron infusions.

Please Note: The service fee for an iron infusion is $150 which is not covered by Medicare. You will also need to purchase the Ferinject Injection (Script required) prior to your Iron Infusion appointment from your preferred pharmacy.

Minor Surgical Procedures

Please discuss with your doctor any minor surgical procedures you require. Your doctor may be able to complete minor medical procedures for you including wedge resections, removal of lesions and plaster or refer you for specialist treatment if required.

Nutrition And Weight-Loss Counselling

The clinic has doctors who specialise in the management and treatment of weight loss and associated counselling including for teenagers and young adults. Please discuss with your GP for further information.

Plenty Radiology now serves onsite at NorthEnd Medical, offering all types of X-rays, CT scans, and Ultrasounds. All services are bulk billed. Their hours of operation are Monday to Saturday, from 9am till 5pm. Urgent walk-ins are welcome.

Dr. Adel Malek is a general practitioner with special interest in skin conditions, skin and general dermatology. Through study combined with practice Dr. Malek has developed experience in diagnosis and common skin conditions. He conducts general skin checks at NorthEnd Medical to detect skin cancer in its early curable stages. Sports medicine

Medical practitioners are able to review and treat minor sports injuries and provide information with ongoing management. Discuss any issues or concerns with your doctor.

Telehealth

Medical and nursing practitioners at the clinic provide a full range of Telehealth (phone) consultations in line with current Medicare requirements. To be eligible for a Medicare-funded Telehealth consultation, you must have had a face-to-face appointment at our clinic within the past 12 months.

Telehealth appointments can be booked by calling our reception team on 9408 8800. All Telehealth consultations are delivered in accordance with government guidelines, and your doctor will assess whether an in-person consultation is required.

Bulk Billing All Medicare-eligible Telehealth GP consultations are fully bulk billed. This means there are no out-of-pocket costs for patients with a valid Medicare card when the consultation meets Medicare eligibility requirements.

Important Information

  • If you have not had a face-to-face consultation in the past 12 months, the Telehealth consultation is not Medicare-eligible and a private fee of $80 will apply.

  • If you do not have a valid Medicare card, a private fee of $80 will apply.

  • Fees may apply for services not covered by Medicare.

Travel Vaccinations
